SUBJ: OFF-SEASON SOLICITATION FOR A LT COMMANDING OFFICER, CG STATION
CAPE DISAPPOINTMENT
A. ALCGOFF 185/20, AY21 JUNIOR COMMAND SCREENING PANEL (JCSP) RESULTS
1. Visit the AY21 Shopping List on the OPM-2 Portal page for
details at: http://cglink.uscg.mil/cb33598e. Off-Season positions
are highlighted in red and can be sorted by "OFF-SEASON" under the
"Reason Shopped" category (column K).
2. An opportunity exists for a LT or LT(s) to serve as Commanding
Officer of CG Station Cape Disappointment. Any interested LT or LT(s)
may apply for this position including those officers who did not
apply or initially screen during the AY21 Junior Command Screening
Panel (JCSP). If the preferred candidate did not screen per Ref A,
the JCSP may be re-convened for this position.  
3. Interested active duty officers should submit an updated e-resume
by COB 5 March 2021. Members applying should anticipate a report
date in the summer of 2021 if selected. If not tour complete in AY21,
requests for consideration shall include a command endorsement
addressing backfill requirements and acceptability of a potential
gap. Members may note that the billet is currently listed as a BOSN
position in DA; this position is now being offered to LT and LT(s).  
4. Members unable to connect to Direct Access due to being underway
or other extenuating circumstances may communicate their requests
via e-mail to the respective detailer listed on the shopping list.
However, officers must also follow up with an Direct Access entry
as soon as connectivity is available.
5. Members unable to access the shopping list via CG
Portal should submit a help ticket to CGFIXIT. Units experiencing
connectivity issues should request a copy for further dissemination
via their command cadre by contacting YN3 Adolfo Jimenez at
Adolfo.F.Jimenez@uscg.mil.
6. Internet release authorized.
