CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard and Corpus Christi Water Department crewmembers conducted an overflight to evaluate the main water lines throughout the City of Corpus Christi and surrounding areas Wednesday.
A Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew flew experts and covered nearly 100 miles of water pipelines from Corpus Christi, Calallen, and Padre Island to help determine the cause of the waterline issues throughout Corpus Christi.
"As members of the Coast Guard, we are proud to have the ability to partner with our local community leaders to meet a common goal," said Lt. Loren Sancineto, Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi aircraft commander. "These partnerships are critical during natural disasters and we look forward to continuing to support the City of Corpus Christi and surrounding areas."
