SUBJ:  RELEASE OF REVISION TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD INTEGRATED
LOGISTICS SUPPORT (ILS) MANUAL
A. U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manual
COMDTINST M4105.14
1. Purpose. This ACN announces the movement of Appendix C and D
from COMDTINST M4105.14 to the COMDT (CG-444) portal page
Appendices C and D will be removed from the COMDTINST entirely in
the next revision.
2. Background. Appendix C and D prescribe the criteria for
conducting Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA) and Logistics
Readiness Reviews (LRR) and are intended for use by all personnel
engaged in or supervising logistics assessments. This nonspecific
checklist is designed to be modified and updated as assessments
are conducted and lessons are learned to ensure currency and
provide best value to our Coast Guard programs.
3. Effective immediately logistics assessments criteria can be
found in the Appendices at: http://cglink.uscg.mil/f0ca4810.
4. The standard template for the checklist will be incorporated
into the next revision of REF (A), which will be released within
the next year.
5. Distribution. No paper distribution will be made.
6. The Configuration Management Division, COMDT (CG-444) is the
Technical Authority (TA) over ILS. COMDT (CG-444) performs
oversight on ILS activities and maintains REF (A). Recommendations
for improvement or corrections shall be submitted to COMDT
(CG-444).
7. This message will be cancelled on 04 JAN 2022.
