AUGMENTATION TEAM (RMAT) PILOT PROGRAM ANNOUCEMENT AND OFF-SEASON
ASSIGNMENT SOLICITATION
A. Reserve Policy Manual, COMDTINST M1001.28 (series)
1. This message announces new and exciting Reserve opportunities through
an initiative to establish a RMAT. This pilot program seeks to leverage
the skills and qualifications of Reserve members who hold Machinery
Technician (MK) and Electronics Technician (ET) ratings and desire assignment
opportunities to a team comprised of solely Reservists. The pilot location
will be in St. Petersburg, FL, drawing members from surrounding units.
The mission includes supplementing PSU-307 with unit level maintenance on
standard boat platforms, non-standard expeditionary equipment, and other
additional maintenance support.
2. This off-season solicitation encourages MKs and ETs within the reasonable
commuting distance of St. Petersburg, FL to apply to the following Reserve
assignment opportunities:

3. The pilot program is seeking MKs in paygrades E-7 and above to apply for
the MKC position. MKs and ETs in paygrades E-6 and below may apply for all
above positions in their rate, with the exception of the MKC position. 
Applicants who are not tour complete must obtain a command endorsement to
include acknowledgment of position gap if member is selected. 
4. These assignments will have standard tour lengths as described in REF A,
paragraph 5.I and 5.J. 
5. Applicants must ensure their Direct Access contact information is accurate.
6. Effective assignment date will be OOA 1 MAR 2021, and selectees should
expect to begin drilling within 30 days.
