SUBJ:  REVISION OF CRITICAL HOUSING AREA (CHA) INSTRUCTION
A. Critical Housing Area (CHA), COMDTINST 11101.15A
B. Critical Housing Area (CHA), COMDTINST 11101.15
1. This ACN announces the promulgation of REF (A) and cancels REF (B).
2. Major changes include:
   a. Outlines organizational changes properly identifying Headquarters and
Personnel Service Center divisions responsible for CHA designation and continuations,
   b. The CHA designation and continuation worksheet has been updated,
   c. For members awareness, Commands are now required to update their Coast
Guard Portal Unit Fact Sheet as well as well other Coast Guard approved social
media sites to indicate their designation as a CHA,
   d. Authorizes members to receive Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) and if
applicable, Cost of Living Allowance in the Continental United States (CONUS COLA)
for a previous Permanent Duty Station (PDS).
