SUBJ: OFFICER PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT VIRTUAL ROAD SHOWS
1. The Boards, Promotions, and Separations Branch (OPM-1), Assignments Branch
(OPM-2), Officer Evaluations Branch (OPM-3), and Career Management Branch
(OPM-4) have scheduled multiple virtual road shows beginning 18 November 2020.
Each virtual road show will have a guest presenter to offer tailored advice to
a specific audience and/or topic as well as afford those transferring in AY22 the
opportunity to interact with their Assignment Officers. This year, all virtual
road shows will initially be held on CVR Teams. Participants will have the option
to attend the road show thru their CVR account, or view as a guest.
2. The virtual road show schedule and guest presenter is as follows:

  b. 09 December 2020, 1400ET: OPM-3 Officer Evaluations/OSMS 2.0
  c. 13 January 2021, 1400ET: OPM-1 Promotion Boards
  d. 10 February 2021, 1400ET: OPM-4 Temporary Separation Program
  e. 10 March 2021, 1400ET: OPM-1 Post Graduate School Counseling
  f. 14 April 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Intel/DCMS Assignment Officer
  g. 12 May 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Response Assignment Officer
  h. 26 May 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Prevention Assignment Officer
  i. 09 June 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Support/Special Assignments Assignment Officer
  j. 23 June 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Aviation Assignment Officer
  k. 14 July 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Afloat Assignment Officer
  l. 28 July 2021, 1400ET: OPM-2 Chief Warrant Officer Assignment Officer
3. The information we provide is meant to generate a discussion between OPM and
the officer corps and provide awareness of the most current trends and policies
affecting their assignments, promotions, and evaluations.
4. To sign up for a virtual road show please email the OPM-4 inbox at
HQS-SMB-CGPSC-OPM-4@uscg.mil. Due to the volume of emails, we request
the format include the following: Virtual Roadshow Request/Date/Presenter, for
example: “Virtual Roadshow Request/18 November 2020/OPM-4 Career Management".
5. OPM recommends commands encourage their officers attending virtual roadshows to
do so from consolidated locations, to the extent possible. This should generate
robust wardroom conversation and maximize opportunities for professional development.
