SUBJ: OFF-SEASON SOLICITATION - SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT - CUSTOMER SERVICE YEOMAN
REAL-TIME INFORMATION SYSTEM MANAGER
A. Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8A
1. This message solicits candidates interested in managing the Customer Service
Yeoman Real-time Information System (CYRIS) established to standardize methods
of accountability and allow real-time metrics between Personnel and Administration
Offices (P&A) and Servicing Personnel Offices (SPO). This is a 2 year assignment w/the
possibility of being extended for a third year. Selected member should be flexible and
expect to transfer in AY22 or AY23. This assignment comes w/AP5 upon successful tour
completion.
2. Eligibility:
a. Must be an E5, E6 or E7 (not above a cut) at time of application.
b. Tour complete: Any.  
c. Meets the requirements listed in reference (A), CH 1.E.2.
d. Have documented experience with computer coding, SharePoint, InfoPath, and Excel.
3. Process/Timeline:
a. NLT 28 October 2020, member applies to position 00020124 in Direct Access w/command
endorsement. 
b. November 2-6, PSC/PPC interviews applicants.
Note: Members should be prepared to provide documentation demonstrating experience
outlined in 2.d.
c. OOA November 10, selected member notified.
d. The expected report date is OOA December 1, 2020.
4. Command Endorsement should confirm eligibility and backfill requirements.
5. Selected member may have the option to PCS to Topeka, KS or remain detached
duty/tele-work from their current duty location for the duration of this assignment.
6. The Special Assignments Officer will coordinate the release from rating process.
