SUBJ: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION CENTER (UDC) FOR ANNUAL PRICE CHANGE
AND CESSATION OF PHONE ORDERS DIRECTLY TO UDC
1. The UDC will be temporarily closed for annual year-end price change from 25 Sep
through 30 Sep 2020. Unit orders (AFC30), CGX orders, and uniform sales via the
Coast Guard Exchange Website (www.shopCGX.com) will not be available during this period.
2. To ensure order fulfillment prior to the temporary closure, AFC30 funded unit orders
received by COB 18 Sep will be filled and shipped. Individual member orders using personal
funds received by COB 24 Sep will be filled and shipped. Any orders received after these
dates will be held until normal operations recommence on 01 Oct 2020 and will be subject
to the FY21 price change so units should plan ahead if obligating funds to meet fiscal
year closeout. The Coast Guard Exchange Website will remain available during the
temporary closure for all sales except for uniform items and Coast Guard Exchange stores
will remain open for all sales including uniform items.
3. Effective 25 Sep 2020 phone ordering directly to UDC will be permanently shut down
and no longer be an option for individual uniform orders. Individual orders can be place
online at: www.shopCGX.com or purchases can be made onsite at the Coast Guard Exchange stores.
4. In the event of emergency or operational needs during this closure period, please
contact the UDC Manager at the below email to coordinate the release of inventory and
shipment.
5. Commands are encouraged to ensure widest dissemination of this ALCOAST.
