Mid-Month September (15 September Payday) Military Payroll Processing Complete
U.S. Coast Guard sent this bulletin at 09/13/2020 04:10 AM EDT"Payslips" for the 15 September 2020 pay day are available in Direct Access. Report any discrepancies through the P&A Office (Admin) to the SPO. If SPOs cannot address or need assistance, the SPO will submit a trouble ticket. Payslips can be accessed via the Self-Service "View" menu. Refer to this guide for an overview of the payslip.
The Mid-Month pay date is Tuesday, 15 September 2020. Paydays are the 1st (end-month) and the 15th (mid-month) of each month, or the business day preceding the 1st or the 15th if either should fall on a federal holiday, Saturday or Sunday. Members should not set up automated payments or assume funds will be available prior to published paydays. Members should verify with their financial institutions as to the actual time funds are available to their account. See When is Payday? for more information.
Good to know:
- Federal government deferring payroll taxes for certain members, employees - Military paychecks for Sept. 15 and Oct. 1 will not change. The Coast Guard has started the process to update the pay system for military members to account for this unexpected change but it will not be accomplished until mid-October. The mid-October paycheck will begin the payroll tax deferment and include the September monies collected (for those eligible).
- Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) plan. The FLTCIP is designed specifically for the federal family, including active and retired members of the uniformed services. Certain family members, or qualified relatives, are also eligible to apply even if you don't.

- Fiscal Year 2021 (Effective 1 October 2020) Changes to Career Sea Pay (CSP) Tables. Effective 1 October 2020: $55 per month across-the-board increase of the Sea Pay tables across all categories and all WMEC-270 will be placed in the Level 5 Sea Pay table.
