SUBJ:  HALF MASTING OF NATIONAL ENSIGN
A. United States Coast Guard Regulations 1992, COMDTINST M5000.3 (series)
1. In accordance with DHS Directive 123-04, the Acting Secretary has directed the US
and DHS flags to be lowered to half staff in honor of CBP Officer Alfonso H. Murrieta
and CBP Border Patrol Agent Enrique Rositas, Jr., who both died in the line of duty.
Both flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise on Friday, July 17, 2020 until
sunset on Friday, July 17, 2020, which is the date of internment for both Officer
Murrieta and Agent Rositas.
2. The national ensign and DHS flags shall be flown at half mast on all Coast Guard
buildings, grounds, and vessels not underway.
3. Internet release is authorized.
