1. Situation: REF A. was released to increase throughput at BM "A" school.
In order to increase BM RAP candidates, and provide continuity to
operational units, EPM-2 is implementing the following method for members
to return to their units upon completion of the RAP course.
2. Requirements. All three of the following criteria must be met to qualify:
a. Member must desire and request to return to their current unit
b. Command must endorse the request for the member to return
c. Units must have an open BM3 billet for the member to return
3. Process: New BM RAP "A" school requests and existing members on the BM RAP
"A" school list:
a. Members may email their chain of command requesting a return to their
current unit.
b. Commands should forward the member's request with a command endorsement to
the BM A school assignment officer listed below.
c. BM assignment officers will verify if an open billet is available at the unit.
d. If all three criteria are met, TDY orders will be issued to the member for
the BM RAP "A" school.
e. BM assignment officers will issue PCS orders for the member to return to
their current unit.
f. Fulfillment of PCS orders is contingent upon member's successful completion
of the BM RAP "A" school.
g. Requests must be received by the BM assignment officer no later than one week
prior to class convening.
