SUBJ: ADVANCE PREPARATIONS FOR UPCOMING OUTAGE TO DIRECT ACCESS
A. COMDT COGARD WASHINGTON DC 091233 MAR 20/ALCOAST 076/20
1. This ALCOAST announces a change in the scheduled system outage
to Direct Access announced in REF (A).
2. The Direct Access outage will now begin at 0600 EST, Friday,
April 03, 2020, with Direct Access remaining offline until 0600 EST,
Monday, April 06, 2020.
3. As outlined in REF (A), this outage is necessary to avoid the
submission of self-service and SPO transactions that potentially
conflict with a system upgrade and will impact all Active Duty,
Reservists, Retirees, Annuitants, and civilian supervisors of
military members. There will be no login access, therefore no
ability to perform any Direct Access transaction during this period.
Please see REF (A) for a list of potential impacts.
4. Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge and Command
Senior Enlisted Leaders should advise all members of the need to
complete any required work prior to 0600 EST, Friday, April 03, 2020.
