Coast Guard to hold meeting for survivors visiting their rescuers at Coast Guard Station Cape Charles, Virginia
WHO: The Coast Guard, Virginia Marine Resource Commission (VMRC), Virginia
Department of Game Inland Fisheries (VDGIF), Accomack County, and Riverside Hospital members.
WHAT: Agencies involved in a successful search-and-rescue operation as well as the persons rescued will be providing statements as part of a meet-and-greet event.
WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1 p.m.
WHERE: Coast Guard Station Cape Charles

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Members of the Coast Guard, VMRC, VDGIF and Accomack
County will be meeting the survivors rescued in a joint rescue operation in
January as well as their families.
On January 19, 2020, three men were rescued after their boat capsized in
Nandua Creek, Va., as a result of the joint operation between the
participating agencies.
Interviews will be available upon request after the issuing of public
statements from the participating agencies and the survivors.
