DHS S&T TO PRESENT TECH NEEDS FOR USCG TO START-UP COMMUNITY

 

WASHINGTON – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T’s) Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard is holding a Homeland Security Day from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday in Menlo Park, California.

The Coast Guard protects America’s economic, national and border security and is the nation’s maritime first responder and humanitarian service that provides aid to people in distress or impacted by natural and man-made disasters. This Homeland Security Day will provide start-up companies and investors an opportunity to learn about the Coast Guard technology needs to support its missions and new opportunities through SVIP’s latest Other Transaction Solicitations. Coast Guard, DHS S&T and SVIP senior leadership will be present to deliver keynotes and engage with industry about Coast Guard mission and operational areas of interest and how DHS works with start-ups.
