Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) Cancelled Sailings Through 1 March
U.S. Coast Guard sent this bulletin at 02/12/2020 11:18 AM EST12 FEB 2020 UNCLAS //N07220// ALCGPSC 022/20 SUBJ: ALASKA MARINE HIGHWAY SYSTEM (AMHS) CANCELLED SAILINGS 1. On 5 February 2020 the Alaska Department of Transportation issued a press release cancelling all sailings through Sunday March 1, 2020 due to mechanical issues onboard the ferry vessel. 2. While the state is optimistic that sailings will resume in March, Coast Guard members must be prepared to execute PCS orders to and from Alaska through alternate means so as not to delay reporting. 3. Members in receipt of PCS orders to or from Alaska that are being impacted by the cancel of sailings through the AMHS are directed to contact their local Personnel and Administrative support staff for additional travel guidance on executing orders. 4.
