1. This ACN announces the cancellation of REFs (A) and (B), and the promulgation of
REF (C).
2. The significant changes to this Manual are the following:
    a. This Manual update reflects the enhanced capabilities and reliance on eNav
systems now installed in Coast Guard cutters and boats as the primary means of
navigation.
    b. Updates to the Manual provide guidance for integration of eNav systems into
Command Navigation Standards to ensure safe navigation of cutters and boats while
using eNav systems as the primary means of navigation.
    c. This Manual authorizes completely paperless navigation for approved units.
    d. Updates to the Manual also include format changes that better display where
navigation standards differ between cutters and boats.
3. No paper distribution will be made of this Manual. This Manual is available on
CGPortal: https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/library/directives/SitePages/Home.aspx
and the Internet at: http://www.dcms.uscg.mil/directives/.
