SUBJ:  UPDATE TO THE RESULTS OF THE CG NIMS ICS TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2 COMPETENCY REVIEW BOARD

1. COMDT (CG-OEM) has reviewed three appeal requests as received by COMDT (CG-5RI) in
response to the 2018-2019 Coast Guard National Incident Management System (CG NIMS)
Incident Command System (ICS) Competency Review Board results detailed in REF (A).
As a result of this review, COMDT (CG-5RI) approved COMDT (CG-OEM)'s recommendations to
find the following members to have achieved NIMS ICS certifications as indicated below: 
    a. NIMS ICS Type 1 Incident Commander (ICT1)
            AUX Gleason, Joseph
    b. NIMS ICS Type 1 Operations Section Chief (OSC1)
            AUX Gleason, Joseph           
    c. NIMS ICS Type 1 Planning Section Chief (PSC1)
            AUX Gleason, Joseph           
    d. NIMS ICS Type 1 Maritime Transportation System Recovery Unit Leader (MTSL1)
            Mr. Albrough, John
            Mr. Dolbow, Frederick
2. Members seeking to apply for Type 1 and Type 2 NIMS ICS certification should consult
their unit ICS Coordinator. Application guidance, Recognition Worksheets, Checklist,
