SUBJ:  COMMUTER TRANSIT SUBSIDY BENEFIT PROGRAM RATE INCREASE

D. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Revenue Procedure 2018-57
1. Per REF (A), effective 01 December 2019, the maximum monthly Commuter Transit
Subsidy Benefit will increase from $255 dollars to $265 dollars per eligible program
participant per calendar month. Retroactive benefits are not authorized as a result of
this increase.
2. All other aspects of the Commuter Transit Subsidy Benefits Program remain in effect
as outlined in REFs (B) and (C).
3. Mass Transit Subsidy recipients anticipating eligibility for an increase in their
transit benefit subsidy should contact their designated Fare Media Approving Official
or their Local Mass Transit Coordinator(s).
