SUBJ: AY20 WOMEN AFLOAT ASSIGNMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CGC RESOLUTE
A. MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS AND AUTHORIZED ABSENCES, COMDTINST M1000.8A (SERIES)
B. COMMANDANTS DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION POLICY STATEMENT
1. PSC-EPM-2 has identified the CGC RESOLUTE in St Petersburg, FL
as a possible WMEC to convert to a mixed gender crew for upcoming
Assignment Year 2020 (AY20). This message is to solicit tour complete
enlisted women for consideration of assignment to CGC RESOLUTE.
2. Background: IAW REF A and B, the Coast Guard has established a
commitment to diversity across a full spectrum of gender, ethnic, and
racial categories. There is an identified need for a focused effort
in creating additional afloat opportunities for enlisted women across the
service.
3. Eligibility: all interested tour complete women, women above
the cut for advancement, or in a pay grade to billet mismatch should
consider this unique opportunity for their next assignment. The
following anticipated AY20 position vacancies onboard CGC RESOLUTE
are listed below:

A. Members interested in these positions shall apply for them as part of their
normal eResume in direct access and send an email to the Women Afloat Coordinator
stating your desire for assignment consideration no later than your ratings e-resume
deadline*.
*Note: Most ratings eResume's are due November 3rd. However, some ratings (e.g. BM)
have different submission timelines. Check your ratings CGPortal page for further
guidance.
B. Those members selected will receive confirmation through their AO’s normal
slating timeline.
