Coast Guard recovers man from water in Tampa Bay
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla— A Coast Guard crew recovered a man from the water after he was ejected from his boat in Tampa Bay, Sunday.
A Coast Guard Cutter Resolute (WMEC 620) crewmember spotted a boat turning in circles and directed their rescue boat crew to investigate.
Once on scene, the rescue boat crew recovered a man from the water and were able to stop the unmanned boat with the help of Eckerd College Search and Rescue.
A crewmember aboard the cutter Resolute contacted Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders at approximately 2:36 p.m., reporting the nature of distress.
The man was released with no injuries and continued his voyage.
