Coast Guard searching for owner of unmanned, adrift vessel west of Crescent City

MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — The Coast Guard is searching for the owner of an unmanned, adrift vessel found approximately seven miles west of Crescent City, Thursday. 

The fishing vessel Lori contacted Del Norte County Emergency Services personnel after they located an unmanned Avon RAB 2.81 inflatable boat off the coast of Crescent City.
Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay is conducting a search for a possible person in the water. 

Anyone with information that may help identify the owner of the vessel is asked to contact the Sector Humboldt Bay Command Center watchstanders at (707) 839-6113.
