Florida Senator to visit Coast Guard Air Station in San Francisco

WHO: Florida Senator Rick Scott, Coast Guard Rear Adm. Peter Gautier, the 11th Coast Guard District commander and Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco personnel

WHAT: Scott is scheduled to visit the air station to meet with Coast Guard personnel before hosting a press conference

WHEN: Monday at 10:45 a.m.

SAN FRANCISCO — Florida Senator Rick Scott is scheduled to visit Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco Monday to meet with Coast Guard personnel before holding a press conference at the unit. 

Scott is visiting to thank the crew for their service. 

Air Station San Francisco operates four MH-65 Dolphin helicopters out of San Francisco and two additional Dolphins from it's Forward Operating Base Point Mugu. In addition to search and rescue, Air Station San Francisco performs homeland security missions to secure the busy coastal region that now includes the major Ports of San Francisco, as well as Los Angeles and Long Beach.
