Coast Guard ends search for missing person in Crystal River, Florida
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Coast Guard ends its search for a missing paddle boarder in Crystal River, Monday.
The missing person was recovered by Citrus County Sheriff and identified by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
At approximately 1:00 a.m., Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg received notification from Citrus County Sheriff of a 43-year-old male paddle boarder, dressed as "Captain Jack Sparrow," who left Hunter Springs Park Saturday evening and has not returned.
A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk conducted a search last night, and a Coast Guard Station Yankeetown 29-foot Response Boat—Small boatcrew began searching Monday morning.
