Coast Guard closes portion of Houston Ship Channel due to protestors near Baytown, Texas
HOUSTON — The Coast Guard has closed a portion of the Houston Ship Channel due to protestors near Baytown, Texas, Thursday.
At 6:30 a.m., Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received notification that approximately 11 individuals were suspended from the Fred Hartman Bridge.
A Station Houston 29-foot Response Boat-Small boat crew were launched to the scene.
The Houston Ship Channel is closed from Light 102A to Light 104.
As of 7:30 a.m., the vessel queue is one vessel inbound and two vessels outbound.
