Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater Hurricane Dorian Response Update
WHAT: The Coast Guard will provide an update on operations for Hurricane Dorian
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m.
WHERE: 1500 Rescue Way Clearwater, FL (next to St. Pete International Airport)
WHO: Capt. Joseph McGilley, Coast Guard Commanding Officer of Air Station Clearwater
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.— Coast Guard Hurricane Dorian response operations are underway in support of the Bahamas. The Coast Guard is supporting the Bahamian National Emergency Management Agency and the Royal Bahamian Defense Force, who are leading search and rescue efforts in the Bahamas. Our forces are strategically positioned to be clear of the impact of the storm and then immediately will reconstitute those forces for rescue operations and re-opening of our critical ports infrastructure.
