CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Coast Guard is strategically repositioning forces and assets to be clear of the impact of the storm. When it is safe, we will reconstitute those forces for rescue operations and assess potential damage to critical port infrastructure in order to lift port restrictions as quickly as possible. Additionally, port condition Zulu is in place for the ports of Charleston, Brunswick, and Savannah. Media will have the opportunity to view assets that have been relocated and speak with the incident commander on the current state of operations.
Media planning to attend should RSVP by contacting the Sector Charleston Hurricane Dorian Response media line at 843-608-9249.
