Regulated Navigation Areas

Effective immediately, the Captain of the Port New Orleans (COTP) rescinds the enforcement of the Hurricane Regulated Navigation Area (RNA) West, which includes the Harvey Canal from the LaPalco Bridge south to the confluence of the Harvey and Algiers Canals, the Algiers Canal from the Algiers Lock south to the confluence of the Harvey and Algiers Canal. 

RNA East (the Inner Harbor Navigational Channel south from the Seabrook Flood Gate to the IHNC Lock, and from the IHNC west through the GIWW to MM 22) and Harvey Canal (MM 0 to LaPalco Bridge) will remain closed to navigation with the storm surge flood protective measures still in place. 

Mariners be advised that Port Condition ZULU remains in effect on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway beginning at MM20 WHL and continuing west into the ports of Houma, New Iberia, Fourchon, Morgan City, and Intracoastal City. For status updates of these ports, contact the Berwick Bay Vessel Traffic Service at (985) 380-5374.
