Missing jet skier located near Fiesta Island

SAN DIEGO — The missing jet skier who was reported overdue in Mission Bay was located near Fiesta Island Sunday evening.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., the city of San Diego Lifeguards located the missing man with his disabled jet ski with no reported medical concerns. 

The lifeguards towed his disabled jet ski and transported him to Ski Beach to reunite with his family.

At approximately 8:20 p.m., the family of the missing man reported him missing after he failed to return to Ski Beach where he and his family departed aboard jet skis.

A Coast Guard Air Station San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and a Coast Guard Station San Diego Response Boat-Medium boat crew are searching along side Mission Beach Life Guard personnel.
