Coast Guard Pacific Northwest seeks public comment on BNSF bridge proposal

SEATTLE -- The Commander, Thirteenth Coast Guard District, has received an application from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway Company requesting approval of the location and plans for a replacement bridge to be constructed across the Little White Salmon River in Skamania County, WA, at latitude 45°42'40.5" N., Longitude: 121°38'54.7" W. 

The proposed project consists of removing the existing bridge, consisting of three in-water piers and replacing it with a new bridge that will span the entire waterway without in-water piers. 

The complete public notice including a brief summary of project impacts, a map of the location, and plans for the proposed bridge replacement can be viewed and printed from the following website https://www.navcen.uscg.gov/D13BN.   

Parties wishing to make comments concerning the proposed project or to seek further information regarding the same should contact the Commander Thirteenth Coast Guard District, Attn: Bridge Administrator (dpw) via email, phone, or written correspondence. 

Such request should be sent to arrive on or before July 12, 2019.
