Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team invites media to attend hurricane preparedness event
WHO: Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team St. Petersburg
WHAT: A boat ride showing and discussing hurricane preparedness
WHERE: 600 8th Ave. S.E., St. Petersburg, Florida, 33701
WHEN: 10 a.m., June 12, 2019
PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) St. Petersburg is inviting media members to get underway Wednesday to discuss hurricane preparedness and showcase some of the work the ANT performs in St. Petersburg during hurricane season.
The boat will get underway at 10 a.m. from the pier and the crew will perform maintenance on an LED light in Bayboro Harbor.
Media members should arrive by 9:30 a.m. and expect to be back at the pier by 11 a.m.
Media interested in attending the event should RSVP by calling Lt. Cory Pray at 727-748-9334 by noon on Tuesday in order to reserve a spot on the boat.
