PHILADELPHA — Members of Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay and Station Philadelphia will be available for media interviews and morning shows to discuss boating safety during National Safe Boating Week and prior to Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of boating season, on May 22nd and May 23rd.
Lt. Cmdr. Carlos Crespo, Chief of Enforcement of Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay, is available on the morning of May 22nd.
Senior Chief Nathan Purinton, Officer in Charge of Coast Guard Station Philadelphia and boatswain's mate, is available for interviews the morning of May 23rd.
National Safe Boating Week is a campaign during which the National Safe Boating Council, Coast Guard, and other federal, state, and local agencies promote safe boating practices prior to Memorial Day Weekend.
