Media Availability: U.S. Coast Guard, partner agencies to hold joint press conference on Coimbra operations
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The U.S. Coast Guard, along with partner agencies, are scheduled to hold a joint press conference to discuss the ongoing operations at the tanker Coimbra wreck site, Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Coast Guard Station Fire Island, Babylon, New York.

WHAT: Joint press conference regarding ongoing operations at the tanker Coimbra wreck site

Spokespersons will talk about the assessment of the Coimbra and intentions for possible oil removal operations.
The Coimbra was a supply ship owned by Great Britain during World War II. The Coimbra sank off the coast of Long Island after a German U-boat torpedoed the ship in Jan. 1942.
