SUBJ:  PROMULGATION OF AIDS TO NAVIGATION (ATON) POSITIONING TACTICS, TECHNIQUES,
AND PROCEDURES (TTP), CGTTP 3-71.21
A. Aids To Navigation (ATON) Positioning Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures
(TTP), CGTTP 3-71.21
1. REF (A) is promulgated and shall be reviewed by personnel engaged in oversight
and positioning of ATON using the United States Aids to Navigation Information
Management System (USAIMS).
2. REF (A) was established to provide procedural guidance to personnel responsible
for ATON positioning of fixed and floating ATON using the USAIMS.
3. The official electronic version of REF (A) is maintained by Force Readiness
Command Training Division (FC-T) within the TTP library. The TTP library can be
accessed by navigating to CGPortal, selecting 'Training & Education,' then
selecting 'Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.'
4. Bravo Zulu to members of the Integrated Process Team (IPT) for their time,
professionalism, and diligence. IPT partners who supported this effort include
CG-NAV-1, CG-NAV-3, CG-LSC, FC-TOT, CGD FIVE (dpw), CGD EIGHT, CGD THIRTEEN (dpw),
USCGC OSAGE, CG NATON.
