U.S. Coast Guard to conduct recruiting in Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

Santa Rita, GUAM — Following two highly successful recruiting trips conducted in September 2017 and May 2018, the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Coast Guard Academy will have recruiters and representatives visiting Saipan, Tinian, and Rota from April 22-30, to meet with interested applicants.  On Saipan, they will be attending Northern Marianas College, Kagman High School, Marianas High School, Saipan Southern High School, Mount Carmel School, and Grace Christian Academy. On Tinian and Rota, they will be visiting those islands’ respective high schools. Interested students, especially those in their senior year, should see their counselors participate in these visits.
For those who have graduated high school, or would like more one-on-one time, the Coast Guard’s representatives will be available at the following municipal offices from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
Saipan Mayor’s Office on April 22-26.
Rota Mayor’s Office on April 29.
Tinian Mayor’s Office on April 30.
The U.S. Coast Guard is a military, multi-mission, maritime service within the Department of Homeland Security and one of the nation's five Armed Forces.  Its core roles are to protect the public, the environment, and the U.S. economic and security interests in America's coasts, ports, and inland waterways.  Serving in the U.S. Coast Guard allows its members to travel worldwide, and duty stations include Guam, Hawaii, the mainland United States, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East. As one of the five branches of the Armed Forces, all service members earn competitive pay, benefits, and educational opportunities.
To schedule a one-on-one meeting with the U.S. Coast Guard’s representatives, please contact Lt. Christine T. Igisomar (christine.t.igisomar@uscg.mil).
