Public Notice 

IDAHO – LAKE PEND ORIELLE AND SAND CREEK – BNSF Bridge Notice, EA 30 day comment period extension.

All interested parties are notified that the Commander, Thirteenth Coast Guard District announces an extension of the comment period for the draft Environmental Assessment which appeared in the Federal Register on February 6, 2019 for the proposed construction of railroad bridges across Lake Pend Oreille and Sand Creek at Sandpoint, Bonner County, Idaho. The comment period has been extended an additional 30 days.

The PN also includes design modifications for the proposed 3.1 and 3.9 railroad bridges based on comments received during the previous “Navigation Only” public notice period. The Coast Guard has tentatively determined that the revised 3.1 and 3.9 railroad bridge designs will meet the reasonable needs of navigation.
