C. ALCGOFF 001/19: ASSIGNMENT YEAR 2019 OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS KICK OFF –

1. This message updates the Assignment Year 2019 (AY19) timelines from Refs
A, B and C. While the information provided in this message should be of
particular interest to officers anticipating reassignment in AY19, it also
includes important information for supervisors and units.
2. Due to continuing unanticipated impacts resulting from the government
shutdown, an extended Direct Access outage and significant changes to 28
positions late in the assignment year, the AY19 timeline has been adjusted.
This will allow OPM to address the personnel impacts from these late changes
while assisting programs in meeting Coast Guard priorities.
3. The AY19 timetable has been delayed 7 days due to the factors cited in
paragraph 2. OPM will make every effort to meet the updated timeline, however
there may be additional updates.
The updated AY19 timelines are as follows:
   A. 29 Mar 2019: O3 and below assignments completed.
4. CAPT M. H. Day, PSC-OPM, sends.
5. Internet release authorized.
