Alaska Regional Response Team to hold meeting in Anchorage
JUNEAU, Alaska — The Alaska Regional Response Team (ARRT) will be holding a meeting Tuesday at the Atwood Conference Center in Anchorage.
Government, private, and not for profit organizations involved in or concerned about pollution preparedness and response policy in Alaska should consider attending. The public is also invited to attend either in person or via call-in number. A public comment period is scheduled. Those wishing to comment must sign-up during the meeting. Agendas and contact information for the meeting can be located on the ARRT website at www.alaskarrt.org.
The ARRT is an interagency, intergovernmental coordinating group consisting of representatives of 14 federal agencies, the State of Alaska, and federally-recognized tribes responsible for developing and maintaining policies for preparedness and response to discharges of oil and releases of hazardous substances in Alaska and surrounding waters. The ARRT also has a supporting role in responding to such releases.
