THE RETIREE NEWSLETTER - TRANSITION TO E-DISTRIBUTION
U.S. Coast Guard sent this bulletin at 02/13/2019 07:46 PM ESTRetiree Newsletter Readership: Thanks to everyone who has subscribed for e-distribution and discontinued paper mailing of the newsletter! In the last four months, e-distribution has increased from 5,572 to 7,337 (+1,765). Efforts remain underway to transition from paper mailing to ALL e-distribution by Jan 2020. This with the exception of a limited number of readers without internet access/computers (18 retirees have contacted me), for whom paper mailing is planned to continue as needed. As previously announced, active duty members who retired after 31 Dec 2018 will no longer be mailed the paper newsletter. As well, individuals on the e-distribution list will no longer be mailed a paper newsletter. These actions alone are expected to reduce paper mailing from ~56,000 (Jan 2019) to ~48,000 (Apr 2019). Please continue to "pass the word" that CG retirees, annuitants, survivors, and ANY interested individuals may subscribe for e-distribution of the newsletter and access current/past editions at: https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/ppc/ras/retnews/
Finally, I welcome your input for the April 2019 edition of newsletter (Notices, Reunions, Items of Interest, etc.) NLT 22 February 2019. Please send via e-mail to: Robert.C.Hinds@uscg.mil
