1. Purpose: This ALCOAST announces the new Boat Forces Advisory Council (BFAC) per REF (A).
BFAC members serve as a communications conduit between the field and the program to ensure Boat
Forces leadership is continually linked to the capability needs of the Boat Forces community.
2. Discussion: REF (B) solicited applications for the newly revised BFAC comprised of 10 nominated
and 7 standing members. Every member that submitted a package was a distinguished individual with
a high level of leadership, competencies, and experience, making the selection especially difficult.
    a. I am pleased to announce the following nominated individuals have been selected:

        BMCS K. Wyman, STA Channel Islands Harbor (Pursuit Level IV)

    b. I am pleased to announce the following individuals have been appointed to the standing positions:
        BMCS C. Ross (National Motor Life Boat School (NMLBS))
        BMCS I. Thompson (Orders to Boat Forces Command Cadre (BFCC))
        BMC P. Null (Boat Forces and Cutter Operations (BFCO))
        BMC C. Ryan (Special Missions Training Center (SMTC))
        BMC (sel) C. Johnson (Maritime Law Enforcement Academy (MLEA))
        Ray Evans Coxswain award winner (one year term)
        Paul Clark Engineer award winner (one year term)
3. Action: Effective the date of this ALCOAST, the above members are appointed membership
through January 2020. We encourage the field to utilize the members to discuss areas of
concern and to facilitate communication with the boat forces program office. These efforts
will ensure that we continue to set high standards and ensure safe and effective boat
operations throughout the fleet.
4. We appreciate the commitment made by former BFAC members and thank you and your commands
for your time served in support of Boat Force initiatives. The following members are departing:
