1. This ALCOAST solicits applications for the Michael J. Cristy Health Care
Facility of the Year (HCFOY), the Clinic Health Services Technician of the
Year (HSOY), and the Independent Duty Health Services Technician of the Year (IDHSOY)
awards for 2018, per REF (A).
2. Nominations for all Health Care awards shall be submitted electronically,
following the guidelines of REF (B), which can be found on the COMDT (CG-112)
website at http://www.dcms.uscg.mil/Our-Organization/Assistant-Commandant-for
-Human-Resources-CG-1/Health-Safety-and-Work-Life-CG-11/Office-of-Health-Services
-CG-112/.
3. Selectees for the HSOY and IDHSOY will be automatically nominated for the
Lewis Seaman Award for Outstanding Operational Support. This is an annual award
for enlisted personnel presented by the Association of Military Surgeons of
the United States.
4. Nominations must be received by the Health, Safety, Work-Life Service Center
(HSWL SC) no later than the first business day in April, which is April 1st,
as noted in REF (B).  HSWL SC staff will submit their top recommendations to
Commandant (CG-1121) no later than the first Monday in May, which is May 6th.
5. The HSWL SC points of contact for nomination packages are:
