A. Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8 (SERIES)
1. The CPOA and CGEA will hold their annual National Convention from 03-05 April
2019 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 2300 Dulles Corner Boulevard, Herndon, Virginia
20171.
2. REF (A), Article 2.A.10.b.(5), authorizes commands to issue permissive orders for
members interested in attending.
3. A strong and engaged CPOA and CGEA are critically important to our Service and
serve to strengthen leadership and mentorship within the Chiefs Corps and promote
command success.

cpoaconvention@gmail.com. Convention information will be posted on the CPOA
website, www.uscgcpoa.org.
