Coast Guard rescues 2 kayakers near Corpus Christi, Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard rescued two kayakers near Corpus Christi, Texas, Saturday morning.

Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders received a call over Channel 16 from two kayakers near Baffin Bay, reporting that they were forced to beach their kayaks due to high winds and rough seas.

A Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin aircrew arrived on scene, landed and transferred both kayakers to Riviera boat ramp parking lot in Baffin Bay. 

There were no reported injuries.
