Coast Guard medevacs man from cruise ship off Baltimore
BALTIMORE — A Coast Guard boat crew medevaced a man who was reportedly suffering from seizures on the cruise ship Carnival Pride near the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse in Baltimore, Sunday evening.
A crewmember aboard the cruise ship contacted watchstanders at Sector Maryland-National Capital Region at 6:45 p.m., and reported that a 40-year-old male crewmember was suffering from possible seizures.
Watchstanders at Sector Maryland-National Capital Region diverted a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Station Curtis Bay to conduct a medevac. Once on scene, Station Curtis Bay crewmembers transferred the man onto the response boat and transported him to the Maryland Yacht Club in Rock Creek to meet awaiting EMS.
