Coast Guard cutter to return to St. Petersburg after Hurricane Michael relief mission

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Vise (WLIC 75305) is scheduled to return Monday to St. Petersburg after conducting Hurricane Michael relief efforts during a 16-day Aids to Navigation (ATON) patrol.
WHO: Chief Warrant Officer Paul Curtis, commanding officer of the Vise. The Vise is a 75-foot Inland Construction Tender with a 68-foot barge attached and is homeported in St. Petersburg. The crew maintains the west coast of Florida’s fixed aid to navigation systems that includes approximately 1,600 aids.
WHAT: During the patrol, the crew of the Vise assisted with the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Michael, conducted ATON and port reconstitution operations.
