2. These assignment opportunities are standard tour length as
described in REF A.
3. Priority for assignment are members currently in the SELRES,
IRR, members with an approved Regular-to-Reserve commission,
members with an approved TEMPSEP IAW REF B, and over-billeted
members. Members who are not tour complete shall obtain a
command endorsement that addresses early departure, backfill
requirements, and acceptability of a potential gap.
4. IAW REF A, Article 5.E.1., members may be assigned to a
Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) unit without their consent
if they live within RCD of these units and not enough qualified
volunteers are identified. Members who have not been assigned to
a DSF unit during their career are strongly encouraged to apply.
5. PSC-RPM will adhere to tour completion dates when considering
assignments. Members generally will not rotate prior to
completion of their tours. However, early rotations are
sometimes necessary to meet Service needs.
6. Reasonable Commuting Distance: REF A, Article 5.C. describes
policy regarding RCD. Members may voluntarily accept assignment
to critical fill positions outside of the RCD.
7. Members who will voluntarily accept orders beyond RCD shall
include the following statement in their e-resume member
comments: “I, (rank and name) on (date), understand the
Reasonable Commuting Distance (RCD) policy stipulated in
COMDTINST M1001.28 (series), and will voluntarily accept orders
beyond RCD.”
8. Members who decline orders are subject to a transfer to the
IRR, Standby Reserve, or may request retirement or separation,
IAW REF A, Article 5.A.10.
a. Interested candidates shall submit a PCS E-Resume in
Direct Access.
b. A Direct Access command endorsement is required.

1/PPC/GUIDES/GP/SelfService/Member/Self%20Service%20-
%20eResume.pdf?ver=2017-03-02-100513-610. To ensure that an e-
resume endorsement is completed on time, members should notify
their command when an e-resume requiring command endorsement has
been submitted. The current version of DA will not notify the
endorser of the request and does not allow late e-resume
submission.
9. Interested applicants shall submit an e-resume through Direct
Access NLT 21 Oct 2018. Due to Direct Access limitations, any
previously submitted e-resumes will not be visible to assignment
officers.
