SUBJ: SERVICE DRESS UNIFORM AVAILABILITY AND UNIFORM PROGRAM INITIATIVES

2. I am pleased to announce that the Coast Guard Exchange System (CGX) has placed Coast Guard Service Dress White, Dinner Dress White and Dinner Dress Blue uniforms for sale online at WWW.SHOPCGX.COM/UNIFORMS/FORMAL-WEAR/. Coast Guard buttons are already sewn onto the jackets and epaulets are also sewn onto the white jackets for hard shoulder board wear. Additionally, you will find all Service and Dinner Dress accessories on the same page. Hard Shoulders boards, Combination Covers and all other Coast Guard uniform items are available online through WWW.SHOPCGX.COM and are fulfilled by the CG Uniform Distribution Center in Woodbine, NJ.
3. The Coast Guard Uniform program is moving to production for the replacement Light Blue Short and Long Sleeve Tropical Blue Dress Shirts and the newly revised Maternity Operational Dress Uniform (ODU). Availability through WWW.SHOPCGX.COM with fulfillment by the Uniform Distribution Center is anticipated by summer 2019. The Uniform Program Clothing Design Office (CDTO) is completing a review of user feedback following the wear test of a Light Weight ODU. The newly designed ODU increases user comfort by reducing overall weight and increasing air permeability. Once user feedback is compiled, a decision memo will be submit to PSC for consideration.
