LOW WATER SAFETY ADVISORY:

MM 167.5 TO MM 303 AHP LMR (16’ and rising)

 

As a result of the Baton Rouge gauge reading 16 feet and rising, the COTP New Orleans has rescinded all safety advisories contained in MSIB Vol. XVIII, Issue 55 for vessels operating from MM 167.5 to MM 303 Above Head of Passes (AHP) on the Lower Mississippi River (LMR).

 

1. This Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) supersedes MSIB Vol. XVIII, Issue 55, Low Water Safety Advisory: MM 167.5 TO MM 303 AHP LMR (13’ and falling)
2. All vessels are advised to be aware of the possibility of increased currents due to the rapidly increasing river levels.
