1. On 31 AUG 2018, the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) A school
list will be temporarily closed to new prospective students to manage ever
exceeding waitlist times due to recent revisions in workforce projections.
Note: Members who already had an A-school request submitted and were only
waiting on AERO verification will still be allowed to add their names to the
list once AERO verification is approved.
2. PSC-EPM-2, in coordination with CG-126, FORCECOM, and the AMT Rating Force
Master Chief (RFMC) will re-evaluate the list closure utilizing updated
workforce projections on 6 month intervals.
3. Unit COs and OICs along with the Gold and Silver Badge network and
Chief's Mess are encouraged to distribute this message throughout the
non-rate community for maximum visibility. Talking points with further
background information, proposed actions, and member options and concerns
are available at reference (a).
4. PSC-EPM-2 will communicate updates thru future ALCGENL and/or A school
list notes posted at reference (a).
