Coast Guard, local agencies searching for missing scuba diver in Rockport

 

BOSTON — Coast Guard and local partners are searching Wednesday night for 47-year-old male scuba diver missing in Pigeon Cove, Rockport.

Emergency dispatchers contacted watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston at approximately 5:30 p.m. to report the missing scuba diver and request assistance.

Boat crews from Coast Guard Station Gloucester and an aircrew from Air Station Cape Cod are assisting crews from Massachusetts State Police, the Rockport Harbormaster’s office, and Rockport Fire Department.

Crews will continue searching throughout the night.
