MIAMI — The Coast Guard and a good Samaritan vessel rescued a missing diver Sunday 1 mile north of Lake Worth Inlet.

Rescued was Nabiel Babar, 33.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a report from the 36-foot dive vessel Marin that Babar was missing. The watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet 33-foot Special Purpose Craft—Law Enforcement boatcrew.

A good Samaritan vessel responded to the UMIB stating they had spotted Babar, and the SPC—LE boatcrew arrived on scene shortly after.

The boatcrew pulled Babar from the water and returned him to the dive vessel Marin with no reported injuries.
